Some have said the more things change the more they stay the same. In this new century many things are changing.
Who would have thought people would have their own telephones in their pockets that young children could use to send messages to hundreds of people around the world any instant they choose? Who would have thought a few years ago that live images of the most graphic natures would be available at the click of a button? My how things have changed! Yet, in a very real way, they have stayed the same. The heart of mankind is still hurting and lost without the embrace of their heavenly father. Boys and young men still need fathers and mentors to find out what it is to be a man. And young girls still need wise counsel from godly women to know how to be "ladies" and good mothers.
We at Living Word love young people and are actively engaged in their lives. Knowing their love for food, we give popcorn and goodies along with the gospel at the county fair. Knowing their love for sports, we have established an entire ministry providing elite level baseball as a method of reaching young men for Christ. And, knowing their need for quality academic training to compete in today's world, we have established Living Word Academy for students 1st through 12th grade.
And, of course, we offer Sunday School programs after a hot breakfast is served Sunday mornings. We have Children's Church and a Jr./Sr. High Youth Group led by Matt and Anna Wolf. All of these programs provide spiritual training and the opportunity to make quality friendships with other Christian young people.
